Situated in the leafy northern suburbs of Sydney is the Cheltenham Recreation Club, easily accessible by public transport, boasting the train station opposite and abundant parking within club grounds.
The land for the club was donated in 1912 by William Harris who bequeathed four acres of land for the establishment of a recreation club to promote sport within the community.
Cheltenham Recreation Club is a Not for Profit Registered Club which caters to bowls, croquet, tennis and soon home for Sydney Real Tennis. The club is the home of Molly’s Pavilion Cafe where members and visitors come to relax, socialise and enjoy their coffee with cake, or lunch while enjoying the ambience of the surrounding area. On Wednesdays and Saturdays following afternoon sport, members, guests and visitors from all sections can be seen gathered in the bar enjoying a tipple or two while discussing their various skills.
The club is also available for function hire.
